~My Review~
When we get married, we all strive for the happily ever after, right? The lengths that one person goes to achieve it, could be deadly…
I was pulled in from the first chapter as Lily is preparing to walk down the aisle for the second time. She is thrilled to have found love again with Sebastian, so why are her inner alarms bells going off? Ding, ding, ding… I could feel the tension myself, everyone looking out the hotel windows at a car that looks suspiciously like Maxwell’s (yep, the jealous, overbearing ex). Yikes! Lily can’t even get married without Max and his prying eyes. Flashback to that cover with the giant eyeball!
Lily and Max have an adorable six-year old son together (Denny). Max should be happy for them, but he can’t seem to let his family move on. Lily described Max as a human whirlwind of a man. He was such a creepy character with a menacing presence.
When things start to go horribly wrong, my suspicions were all over the map. I wasn’t sure how far Max would go to have his family back. I kept asking myself, “who is texting these sinister messages?” Wait….who is the cat and who is the mouse? Lots of clues scattered throughout.
I really enjoyed gathering all the clues and trying to piece them together to solve the crime. The chilling end couldn’t have been better in this dark tale.
Recommend to readers who enjoy characters with obsessive behavior and unsettling tactics.
Thank you Anne and the publisher for my copy of the book.
~Book Description~
Till death do us part…
After leaving her marriage to jealous, possessive oncologist Maxwell, Lily and her six-year-old son have a second chance at happiness with headteacher Sebastian. Kind but vulnerable, Sebastian is the polar opposite of Maxwell, and the perfect match for Lily. After a whirlwind romance, they marry, and that’s when things start to go wrong…
Maxwell returns to the scene, determined to win back his family, and events soon spiral out of control. Lily and Sebastian find themselves not only fighting for their relationship, but also their lives…
Chilling, dark and terrifying, Do No Harm is a taut psychological thriller and a study of obsession, from one of the most exciting new voices in crime fiction.

I very much enjoyed all the suspicion too! I wasn’t sure of anybody but my first guess, which I abandoned when so much else came up, was the right one in the end! Great review Holly!
