What I plan to read this week…
I’m so happy that I finished all my blog tour books this week (yay)! Now I’m working on reducing my shelf of advanced copies and reading some of my own books! I’ve just started The Other Sister by Sarah Zettel and I must say it has a very dark opening. My next book is one that I have very high hopes for because I loved her previous book Behind Her Eyes. Sarah Pinboroughs Cross Her Heart which releases on September 4, 2018. My last book is a purchase (oops) that I made after reading An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena. It is the Agatha Christie novel, And Then There Were None.

I’ve done really well this week on my July book ban! Only purchasing 2 books this mystery book. I finished An Unwanted Guest last week and it is being compared by so many to this Agatha Christie, so of course I really need to read it myself. I want to read it this week while the other story is still “in my head” and compare the writing styles, and time periods. Also couldn’t resist the Tara Sivec book after reading some 5 star reviews! Has anyone read either of these?

Love And Then There Were None! I highly recommend the BBC miniseries from a few years ago too.

I think you are definitely catching up, Holls! I hope you enjoy The Other Sister because I’ll be reading it soon, and Kendall’s review didn’t sound promising. Great job in July! I am really impressed! I may have gone a week without requesting, so that’s a win for me! 😂

I loved An Unwanted Guest and glad you did too! And Then There Were None is probably my favorite Agatha Christie and I can definitely see the comparisons to the two books…I hope you enjoy it! Happy reading!! 🙂

You’re welcome! I think I might reread it! As part of my reading goals this year, I said I was going to reread some old favorites at least 12 (I think..will have to go back to that blog post, lol) and I’ve only reread 1 or 2, LOL! I better get on it if I want to meet my own goals haha!

I don’t think I realized there was a new Sarah Pinborough book coming out. I’m still a little undecided about her books so I look forward to hearing what you think of it!

I do not usually read books like The Naughty Princessess, but I really enjoyed the first two in the series. There is a lot of humour. I just got a widget for the third one and am looking forward to it. I have not read the book Then There Were None, but I have seen the play done at our local University and loved it.

I’ve been hearing An Unwanted Guest compared to Agatha Christie too. It’s making me want to read one of her books and then that one to see.

Then There Was None (Agatha Christie) is so good Laurie! I sat outside to read a few chapters of it yesterday and almost finished it! Her writing is incredibly addictive! Going to finish today and already looking to purchase my next Christie novel! I think I’m in LOVE. LOL
