~My Review~
I fell in love with the writing in this captivating novella. I was instantly intrigued with the two women, Alexa and Rosie. Told from each of their point of views, we are drawn into a story of manipulation and its path of destruction.
Character driven, we get a steady pace of how one friend weaves herself into others’ lives. Can anyone just put on a mask and create a persona? How far would someone be willing to go to keep their mask on? Appearance is only an outward measure and shouldn’t be used to judge someone’s character. However, isn’t this how we are judged so often?
I was left wondering if one of the ladies was her own number one fan willing to stomp over anyone in her way or if she was just a misunderstood woman suffering within herself. This would make a great book club discussion.
A memorable, fascinating short story with a focus on the human psyche.

A perfect friend … or a perfect impostor?
Alexa is an energetic and charismatic professional and the new member of a Parisian PR company where she quickly befriends her colleagues Rosie and Jack. She brings a much-needed breath of fresh air into the office and ambitiously throws herself into her new job and friendships.

I like that kernel of doubt about a character’s true intentions! I’m not a big fan of short stories for some reason but sounds like it kept you engrossed well enough! Great review !!
