Reading Time

a0adaeb0314d848387e266644bab3937What I plan to read this week…

I’m close to finishing  The Retreat by Mark Edwards and The Bone Curse by Carrie Rubin. I also want to read Don’t Believe It by Charlie Donlea and I’m buddy reading The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (so we’ll be reading it through April).  I’m behind on a couple of reviews, so I’ll be writing those and “catching up”.  I picked 2 titles for my April Book of the Month – The Girl Who Smiled Beads by Clementine Wamariya and Circe by Madeline Miller.

    • It was pretty good, I gave it a 3.5. I felt it was just so long (over 450 pgs.) and I became restless with it. Hope you enjoy it Stephanie.

      • Ahh, I get that. I might wait on it a bit then. I just finished on over 500 pg book by Jo Nesbo and an over 800 pg book by Stephen King in the same week, so I’m doing a light read for now, lol!! My brain can’t do that again. At least it wasn’t awful though. Thanks!! 😊

      • LOL, yes it is! I’ve got another 930 page book coming up this summer, haha, and I’m planning on reading The Green Mile for my PopSugar Challenge and think it’s 400 or 500 pages! At least this one is a fast read and not heavy. 🙂 I think it’s getting to be that time of year too where you just want to read lighter books.

    • I’m doing a buddy read with it Berit and both of us are just absorbed in the story! I read the Japanese story Rainbirds last week (so I feel like I’ve learned more about the culture). We still need to do a buddy read soon!!
