I am planning on reading a couple of review books- A Wife by Alafair Burke and Surprise Me by Sophie Kensella.  I’m also reading with The Traveling Sister Reading Group (Goodreads Book Club). We are reading The Memory Watcher by Minka Kent.

Hope everyone has some awesome books lined up this week.  My Jan/Feb tbr is getting more in control having read 4-5 books a week for the past two weeks!  Why are so many publication dates in Jan/Feb?  We are still having crazy weather in Texas!  Happy reading!!

  1. All these titles look great. I got a copy of Tattooist and can’t wait to get to it. I will look out for your reviews.

I get what you mean about the publication dates. I have been trying to reduce the number of ARCs that I request. Somehow though, I have 7 pending ARCs which will all be published this month. I hope to get things under control like you did.

Have a wonderful week. Happy reading 🙂

    • So many publication dates for Jan/Feb. They caught me off-guard, but I think I’ve got it under control. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Tattooist. I think you’ll enjoy it too!

  2. The Weight of Lies and The Road to Bittersweet were 2 of my favorite books in 2017! I loved them, and I hope you do too! I’m starting Suprise Me this week too for review…I have read chap 1, lol. I’ve got 7 books going, so it’s a bit crazy. But I’ll finish it before Tues 😉 I hope you enjoy all your books!

    • What?? Seven books!! You are truly amazing. I always like to have 3 going. I love picking them up when I need a switch (like changing channels). I also have only read a couple chapters of Surprise Me, but I am loving it so far! We’ll chat later about it! (happy to hear 2 of my picks were favorites. yay).

      • Lol, to be fair 3 of them are buddy reads with my 7 yr old daughter..James and the Giant Peach, The Witches (we’re on a Roald Dahl fest, lol), and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. One is a book I’m teaching this semester in a couple of weeks, so I need to remember it, lol. Then I’m reading Still Me by JoJo Moyes. So technically 3 “adult” books. I’m like you, I like to switch them out! Yes! We can chat later! I hope I love it. Kinsella is one of my favorites, but she’s been hit or miss lately. I’ve heard good things about this one though! Be prepared to cry reading Bittersweet!! I ugly cried!!

    • A lot of great reviews for Weight of Lies. Glad you loved it! I had to get to reading….I had such a backlog that I was trying to add at least one more book.

  3. Yes! I did and I thought it was such a beautiful love story. I haven’t been to San Antonio lately, but I was in Austin a few weeks ago. The Texas weather is in the 60’s this week. Enjoy your trip!

  4. I’ve got This Fallen Prey, as well as The Girl I Used to Be, but I’m not sure I’ll get to them this month (yikes). And The Tattooist of Auschwitz is on my personal TBR. Another blogger I follow is reading it this month as well.

  5. I’m reading A Wife right now. I’m enjoying it but I keep having to walk away to do other stuff. I am hoping to finish it up this afternoon and start on The Broken Girls once I’m done blogging. I’ll have to check out some of your other titles. 4-5 books a week is impressive!!!

    • Thanks Vicky! I finished A Wife. It was so good and really clever too. I’m reading the Broken Girls next week and can’t wait because I’ve seen so many raving reviews! Hope you enjoy it. We’ll have to chat later when you’ve finished both of these!
