This Throwback Thursday meme was created by Rene over at It’s Book Talk. It features old favorites and books that have been published. I have many books I need to move up on my TBR that get keep getting pushed back so I can read review copies. My goal in 2018 is to read at least one a week and get the TBR read.
This week I’ve chosen Fractured by Catherine McKenzie. It was published in 2016 by Lake Union. I recently finished The Good Liar by the same author and enjoyed it.
Book Description…
Julie Prentice and her family move across the country to the idyllic Mount Adams district of Cincinnati, hoping to evade the stalker who’s been terrorizing them ever since the publication of her bestselling novel, The Murder Game. Since Julie doesn’t know anyone in her new town, when she meets her neighbor John Dunbar, their instant connection brings measured hope for a new beginning. But she never imagines that a simple, benign conversation with him could set her life spinning so far off course.
After a series of misunderstandings, Julie and her family become the target of increasingly unsettling harassment. Has Julie’s stalker found her, or are her neighbors out to get her, too? As tension in the neighborhood rises, new friends turn into enemies, and the results are deadly.
I already thought I recognized the name.. I have The Good Liar on my wishlist but this one sounds good too.. I wouldn’t add this one based on the cover, but more because of the author’s reputation now, she sounds like a solid writer :-). Happy reading!

The cover doesn’t do justice. Its about a super crazy neighborhood association group and I think a murder. I’m over 50% through and it has my curiosity spiked!

Sounds good – there’s nothing like a mysterious stalker type of story to get the tension rising. Hope you enjoy it as much as you enjoyed the later one!

Great pick. I enjoyed this one and it reminded me a lot of Desperate Housewives with the suburban mystery angle and all the drama on that street. It was an entertaining read.
