What I’m planning to read this week…
I’m participating in two group reads this week! The books are Exquisite by Sarah Stovell and The Visitors by Catherine Burns (which has mixed reviews so I’m not sure how it will go!) I’ve been reading Just Between Us by Rebecca Drake (NG wish granted) and I’m loving it! I’ve finished 30% of Fatal Masquerade by Vivian Conroy and really enjoying the “cozy” mystery with the costume ball theme. I’ll be on the blog tour for this one on October 16th. I have also started listening to Lie To Me by J.T. Ellison (hoopla), but only at the gym and it will take probably more than a week to finish it (just met the detective Holly- and Love her!) I think I’m going to be able to add one more book in this week because I was able to finish 2 over the weekend (lots of reading this weekend 🙂 I’m just not sure yet what I “feel” like reading. Should a pick a review book or one I really “want” to read?”
What I finished this week…
What I purchased/downloaded this week…
Silent Lies by Kathryn Croft (NG)
Last Day of Emily Lindsey and Lies She Told (Barnes and Noble purchases)
Wishlist…
I have never read a Stephen King book and I want to read one. I have read a few Owen King . Any suggestions?
Yay another King newbie, like me, I’ve only read The Shinning and I think the Green Mile but I can’t be sure because the film is so drilled in my head, I don’t actually know if I’ve read the book!😂
I’m hosting a group read along of Under the Dome in January, if you wanna join, the book is massive so we’ll be reading over the course of the whole month 😊

I love reading with groups Janel! I think that would be super fun! (love to join in) I know I’ve seen the movie Misery (loved it) but haven’t read any!

I’ll add you to the read along group for Under The Dome, If January comes around and you can’t fit it in, no problems, no pressure 😊

So many brilliant King novels to choose from – Needful Things is creepily brilliant. Under The Dome and 22 11 63 mess with your head. Green Mile is probably my favourite.

It was the Fireman and it was on Audio so it took around two weeks! I only listen at the gym and I probably need to go more..LOL It was good, but not as good as I had hoped!

Oh, the Fireman! I read that too! I was expecting it to be super spine-chilling thriller, but it didn’t turn out that way which was a bit of a surprise for me.

I highly recommend 11/22/63 by King!! I’m glad you’re enjoying Lie to Me, I’ve recently discovered Hoopla also which has been a nice addition to audible or my regular library.

I almost ordered it and then I saw it was by Stephen and his son! Really long too! Anxious to hear your thoughts when you finish Tina!

I need to read more Stephen King myself. I’ve read The Colorado Kid and On Writing, and I made it a couple hundred pages into Under the Dome before I just gave up (it was good, but it just wasn’t what I was in the mood for at the time). I want to read The Green Mile and The Gunslinger sometime in the relatively near future.

Hearing so much about The Green Mile. I need to look it up! I am also a “mood” reader which is why I am usually reading 2 to 3 books at a time! Look forward to your thoughts if you get to read any!

I’m pretty much a mood reader too, so I understand completely. If/when I read more Stephen King, I’ll definitely have reviews up for them.

I’ve never read any Stephen King books either, but I’ve seen The Shawshank Redemption on t.v. it seems like a hundred times. I’d read that one of his.

I haven’t heard of any of these whoops but it sounds like you have a LOT to choose from. But enjoy! When I need to decide on a book to read I might use a twitter poll or else just start a whole lot and go with what interests me the most.
