These are books I am currently reading or will be starting soon for July-August!  I love to sit outside on my patio in my favorite lounge chair and read with my precious Cavalier, Layla (she makes lots of appearances in my instagram photos!).  I try to stay fit by going to the gym every other day and always have an audio book to help me through that workout!!  I love to share my latest and favorite audios.

When You Disappeared by John Marrs
Book Description…..
When Catherine wakes up alone one morning, she thinks her husband has gone for a run before work. But Simon never makes it to the office. His running shoes are by the front door. Nothing is missing—except him.
Catherine knows Simon must be in trouble. He wouldn’t just leave her. He wouldn’t leave the children.
But Simon knows the truth—about why he left and what he’s done. He knows things about his marriage that it would kill Catherine to find out. The memories she holds onto are lies.
While Catherine faces a dark new reality at home, Simon’s halfway around the world, alive and thriving. He’s doing whatever it takes to stay one step ahead of the truth.
But he can’t hide forever, and when he reappears twenty-five years later, Catherine will finally learn who he is.
And wish she’d stayed in the dark.
Revised edition: Previously published as The Wronged Sons, this edition of When You Disappeared includes editorial revisions.

Pretty Baby Mary Kubica
Book Description…. This is my AUDIO READ
A chance encounter sparks an unrelenting web of lies in this stunning new psychological thriller from national bestselling author Mary Kubica
She sees the teenage girl on the train platform, standing in the pouring rain, clutching an infant in her arms. She boards a train and is whisked away. But she can’t get the girl out of her head…
Heidi Wood has always been a charitable woman: she works for a nonprofit, takes in stray cats. Still, her husband and daughter are horrified when Heidi returns home one day with a young woman named Willow and her four-month-old baby in tow. Disheveled and apparently homeless, this girl could be a criminal—or worse. But despite her family’s objections, Heidi invites Willow and the baby to take refuge in their home.
Heidi spends the next few days helping Willow get back on her feet, but as clues into Willow’s past begin to surface, Heidi is forced to decide how far she’s willing to go to help a stranger. What starts as an act of kindness quickly spirals into a story far more twisted than anyone could have anticipated.

  1. I definitely should start listening to Audiobooks – it just may motivate me to visit a gym even once a week – lol.
Same here, I love reading outside on the patio – it seems to offer something new and enchanting about the whole reading experience, as I can often pause in my reading and admire the beautiful nature and birds singing around me.
I’ve been looking for a new thriller/mystery novel lately and When You Disappeared sounds pretty intriguing, I just may give it a go, that’s after I’ve finished When Dimple Met Rishi however.
I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future, Happy Reading 🙂

    • Thanks for your comment! Yes, I have to “haul” myself to the gym or no reading for me! It is a good way to stay fit and read! Sometimes I listen to a really fast paced (hyper) book and then I just run faster on the tread mill! When You Disappeared has been great and I have no idea where it is going or how it is going to end. Which I think is a good thing! I hope you get to read it!
